Terms of Use for Free Tools
These terms apply to Dentra tools that are used without registration and without payment. They differ from the Terms of Service, which govern the relationship with those who open an account: here there is no account, no price, and nothing to cancel. By using a free tool, you accept the following.

1. What are the free tools
These are the parts of Dentra usable by anyone, without an account: the 3D viewer, which opens a model in the browser and creates a link to send to someone else, and the construction of the model from a scan.
They are offered as is, free of charge and without guarantee of continuity. They do not constitute a supply contract: if you need a service with commitments of availability and assistance, that is the Dentra ecosystem to which one registers, governed by the Terms of Service.
2. Who can use them
The free tools are intended for professionals in the dental and dental technology sectors and those who work with them. They are not intended for patients or minors under eighteen years of age.
Anyone using them on behalf of a practice or laboratory declares to be authorized to do so. No registration is required: consequently, we do not verify the identity of those who open them, and we cannot attribute the use made of them to anyone.
3. Files you upload: ownership and retention
The files remain yours. By uploading them, you only authorize us to process them to make the tool work for you: nothing else. We do not use them to train systems, we do not transfer them, we do not show them to third parties.
Where the files are stored varies from tool to tool, and this is a substantial difference:
- In model construction, the scan does not leave your computer: it is read and processed within the browser. - In the viewer, the file is instead uploaded to our systems, because the link is precisely for someone else to open it.
A link created without an account lasts seven days, after which the file is deleted. You can request immediate deletion by writing to us.
Do not upload patient data if you are not required to do so: an anatomical model can be personal data, and the person who uploads it remains the data controller.
4. Usage limits and suspension
The free tools have technical limits — file size, quantity, link duration — which we indicate within the tool itself and which we may modify at any time.
We may limit or suspend access, even without prior notice, to anyone who makes automated, massive, or otherwise service-compromising use for others.
5. Acceptable use
It is not permitted to: upload unlawful content or content you do not have the right to dispose of; attempt to access others' links; circumvent technical limits; decompile or replicate the tools; use them to build a competing service.
Links created with the viewer are private but not secret: anyone who has the address can open them. Do not use them for content that cannot be shared.
6. No diagnostic purpose
The free tools are not medical devices and have no diagnostic purpose. They display and transform files: they do not measure, do not report, do not replace clinical evaluation.
Every clinical decision remains with the professional, based on their own tools and responsibility.
7. Personal data
Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. For the free tools, we collect the minimum necessary to make them work and to defend them from abuse: files uploaded for the time indicated in Article 3, and some technical connection data.
If you upload files containing third-party personal data, you remain the data controller for that data: we process it on your behalf and only for the necessary time.
8. Availability and interruptions
The free tools are offered without any commitment to availability. We may modify, limit, or terminate them at any time, even permanently and without prior notice.
No dedicated support service is provided. We remain reachable through the contacts in Article 12.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use or unavailability of the free tools, nor for the loss of uploaded files, nor for the consequences of decisions made based on what the tools show.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not permit to be excluded, particularly for willful misconduct or gross negligence and for personal injury.
10. Amendments to these terms
We may amend these terms at any time. The current version is the one published on this page, with the revision date indicated at the top.
As these are tools usable without an account, we do not have a contact address to notify you: subsequent use after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law.
For any dispute, the competent court shall be that of the place indicated in the Terms of Service, which are referred to here solely for the procedural part. For those acting as consumers, the mandatory jurisdiction of the court of residence or domicile remains unaffected.
