Dentra Core
Working with Dentra
You apply from the Jobs page, follow your application from your account and, if you join, you find your guide in this documentation.
Where to apply
Open positions are on the Jobs page: each one says what it asks for before you apply. Whether the programme for remote designers is open or paused is on the For collaborators page.
The first step of the form is your email: we send you a code, you type it in and go back to the form. That creates the account you use to follow your application. It's only for that: you don't become a client and we don't ask for billing details.
Professional or student
| Path | What we ask | After you send it |
|---|---|---|
| “I'm a professional” | Full name, your CV as a PDF, a few lines on what Dentra is and, if the position asks for it, the type of collaboration. A website or portfolio is optional. | The practical test, if the position has one. |
| “I'm a student” | Your school, year of study, city, the software you've already tried and your student card or enrolment certificate. | No test: we'll write to you. |
The practical test
- It takes about half an hour and you need a computer with dental design software.
- It starts right after you send your application. If you can't do it then, we email you the link.
- There's no time limit while you work on it, and your work stays saved between sessions.
- The link is valid for 7 days. If it expires, open it anyway: from there you send yourself a new one.
Some positions have no test: the confirmation you get after sending tells you.
My applications
With your application account you'll find “My applications” in the account menu. For each application you see where it stands, what you sent us and, if there is one, the button for the test.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| “Received” | We're reading it: we'll write to your account's email address. |
| “Test to do” | The practical test is waiting for you: do it whenever you like. |
| “Test started” | Pick it up where you left off. |
| “Test expired” | The link has expired: open the test and send yourself a new one. |
| “Test submitted” | We're looking at it: we'll write to you. |
| “Replaced” | You applied again: the most recent application counts. |
While you wait you can use Dentra Viewer, Oralsnap Model and the downloadable apps, like anyone trying them without an account. On the other pages of Dentra a window tells you where your application stands.
If you're a student
- You apply from the Jobs page with “I'm a student”. If you already have a Dentra account, choose “I'm a student” when we ask “Do you have a business or are you a student?”.
- Your student card or enrolment certificate is always needed: until it's there, every page asks for it. Only our staff see it, to approve the request.
- If we approve the request you get an email with instructions to enter your student area, and Dentra Viewer, Oralsnap Model and the downloadable apps are included.
- As a student you don't invoice us and you don't sign the collaborators' contract.
If you join as a collaborator
- You get a welcome email with a button to set your password. You can also sign in from the Sign in page with your email, using the link or the code we send you.
- Before you receive work, you enter the details you invoice us with and sign the collaboration contract.
- Signing in has a mandatory second step: for the first 7 days you can get in without it, then we ask for a code by email, or Touch ID or Face ID if you've added a passkey.
From then on the guide for collaborators covers the work, and it opens when you sign in with your account.
