The people of your practice
The people who work with you sign in with their own email, into your practice. You decide what they can see and do.
What it is
A practice can have several people: each signs in to Dentra with their own email and works on the practice's orders. No more sharing the password, and you know who did what.
If you don't see Users and permissions in Settings, write to us: we'll turn it on for your practice.
The profiles
- Owner: sees and does everything, prices and invoices included, and adds the other people.
- Dentist: by default creates and follows orders, signs prescriptions with their own name and registration number and uses Dentra Viewer. No prices, invoices or payments.
- Front desk: by default creates orders, uploads scans and follows deliveries. Doesn't sign prescriptions and doesn't see prices, invoices or payments.
Adding a person

Open Settings › Users and permissions
Only the owner has this page.

Press «Add»
Enter their full name and email and choose the profile.

Press «Send the invitation»
They get an email: they sign in with their own address and land in your practice.
If they already have their own Dentra account, they keep it: from their name at the top they choose whether to work in their account or in your practice. To change their profile, or to remove them, press «Edit» next to their name. Whoever is removed is out right away, even if they're signed in at that moment.
What each profile can do
In the Profiles box each profile has a line saying what it can do. Press «Edit» and turn on or off:

- Everyone can follow orders (the order page, the files, the delivery and the messages).
- The Front desk never signs prescriptions: a dentist or the owner signs them.
- Order production and Dentra AI only turn on together with See prices: production is ordered looking at what it costs, and the assistant reads orders with their amounts.
- People who can't see prices only choose deliveries without a surcharge: the faster, paid ones are chosen by someone who sees prices.
- A change applies within half a minute, even for people working at that moment.
Creating your own profile
If Dentist and Front desk aren't enough, create a profile with any name you like, for example «Hygienist», «Administration» or «Associate dentist». It joins the profiles, with the same switches.

Write the name and answer «Is it for a dentist?»
Only a profile for dentists can sign prescriptions. It can't be changed later.

Turn on what's needed
The profile starts like the Dentist or the Front desk; it opens by itself and you adjust it there.
To rename or remove a profile, press «Edit» on its line. It can only be removed when nobody uses it any more.
Working in the practice
Whoever is in the practice sees the practice name and their profile at the top, with Leave the practice. When a person creates an order, the order page says who created it. If the order is waiting for a signature, the email goes to the owner and to the dentists who can sign; whoever created the order is told when the work is shipped and when it's delivered.
Dentra's apps that sign in with your Dentra account also ask where you want to sign in: your own account or the practice. In the practice the app only does what your profile can do, and orders you create from there show that you created them.
Inside the practice everyone has their own settings too: from the gear you see Profile, Sign-in and security (your passkeys, your password, your devices) and Language and appearance, and they apply to you only. The practice's other settings are managed by the owner: in the menu they have a padlock. The setup (billing details and direct debit) is also completed by the owner: until it's done, the practice's new orders can't be sent, and the people working in the practice see this at the top.
Someone who was invited and wants to use Dentra for themselves too opens their own account from Enter the practice › Open your own account: they tell us who they are and, to order, their billing details, like everyone. The practice can't see that account, and what they order there is paid by them.
Who did what
In Users and permissions, under Who did what, you see the orders created and the prescriptions signed by each person, and who was added or removed.
