Connecting your scanner

Send us scans from your scanner as you would to any laboratory: they arrive by themselves, already set up as orders to complete.

Which scanners

Open Scanner from the Dentra Core menu. Every scanner that can already be connected has its own card; the ones that can't be connected yet are listed under “Coming soon”.

If the page says you'll soon be able to send us scans from your scanner, for now upload them in the new order: it only takes a moment.

The three steps

    Sign in with your scanner account

    Press the “Sign in with…” button on your scanner's card. You do it only once: it lets us recognise you when you send us a case.

    Add Dentra as a partner laboratory

    In your scanner's software, among the partner laboratories, search for the name shown on the card. “Copy” copies it for you.

  3. 3

    Send us your first case

    When you finish a scan, choose Dentra as the laboratory and press send. You'll find it in “My orders”, ready to complete.

If a scanner account is already connected to another Dentra account, the page tells you: write to us and we'll sort it out.

Completing a scan that has arrived

Every case that arrives becomes an order marked “Draft · to complete”. You'll find them all in the “Drafts to complete” tab of the order list.

    Open the draft

    The order form opens with the files already in it.

    Complete what's missing

    Usually the work type and the teeth. Check the scans and fill in the prescription.

    Send

    At the summary press “Confirm order”, just like for a new order.

Can I send you scans directly from my scanner?

We're working on it: the direct connection with Medit Link and DS Core is on its way. Once it's active, you'll choose Dentra as the laboratory in your scanner's software and the case will arrive on its own among your orders. In the meantime, export the scans as STL and upload them to the order.

Which scanners will be connected?

First Medit Link and DS Core. The other scanners will follow one at a time: we announce them when they're ready.

How will the scanner connection work?

You do it just once: from the Scanner page in Dentra you log in with your scanner account and add Dentra to your partner laboratories. From then on, when you finish a scan, you choose Dentra and press send: the case appears among your orders as a draft to complete. The first case may take a few hours, the following ones a few minutes.

Can I disconnect the scanner?

Yes, whenever you like, from the Scanner page. We only see the cases you send to Dentra, not the rest of your archive.
