Dentra Viewer

Downloading as a page

A single file with the models inside: it opens in the browser with a double click, even without internet.

What it is

“Download as page” puts the models you have on the scene into an .html file. Whoever receives it opens it with a double click and rotates the models in the browser, even offline and without an account. It's useful when a link won't do: for an archive, a USB stick, or a colleague who works offline.

Anyone can download it, even without an account: the page carries the Dentra brand. With PRO you add a password and your logo.

How to do it

  1. 1

Put the models on the scene

Load them from your computer, or click one of your links to reopen its models.

  2. 2

    Press “Download as page”

It's the button with the down arrow, at the top right. A window opens.

  3. 3

    Add notes, if you like

In “Notes for whoever opens it (optional)” write what they need to know, for example the material, the shade or a contact to check.

  4. 4

    Add a password, with PRO

Whoever opens the page will have to enter it. Without the case password nothing can be seen, not even the title.

  5. 5

    Press “Download”

The file takes the title of the link or, if there isn't one, the name of the first model.

The password can't be recovered: if the recipient loses it, you have to send them a new page.

Reopening it in the Viewer

A page downloaded from Dentra Viewer can be reopened in the Viewer: load it on the workbench like any other model. If it has a password, the Viewer asks for it in the “Protected page” window. The models go back on the scene in their places.

On a phone

On iPhone and iPad, a file opened from Mail, Files or WhatsApp only shows a picture of the model, with the notes: to rotate it you need a computer, or the link. If the page has a password, on a phone it only says to open it on a computer, without showing anything of the case.

To show a job on a phone, the link is still the best way: see Creating and managing links.
